First Type of Training from ECO4X4AFRICA: GENERAL INFORMATION FOR TOURING(GIFT)

Training Dates: #1: 18-20 Jan 2012 Midweek
- Gauteng #2: 24-26 Feb 2012 Weekend - Gauteng #3: 5-7 Sep

Timings:The course start
daily at 07h30 for 08h00 and end at 17h00 except 1 day, when we will work after hours till 21h00 for night training.
General Notes: 1. You have to organise your own stationery – pen and paper for
notes 2. Accommodation and food are included and supper for 2 nights. 3. Own 4x4 vehicle and
recovery gear(Dont buy gear, first get information and buy then) 4. More instructions will be forwarded to those who make the
5 vehicles. 5. Lecture venue is on a sand based floor under a Boma –
NB!!! bring a chair, a small table if you want (not a necessity) but useful to write
on 6. Own snacks and drinks (water / cool drink) for during the day 7. Weather affected, so bring appropriate clothing. Old clothing
is better because of water and mud. 8. CATHSETA stands for Culture Arts
Tourism Hospitality and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority. It is the new name for THETA (Tourism and Hospitality Education Authority).
Costing: The cost is R2000 per person and Couples are R1500
per person sharing and includes the following 1.
Accommodation (Couples
R1050 for 2 nights)(Singles R780 for 2 nights) 2.
Breakfast at
Lodge, Lunch at Lodge and Tea & Coffee at Lecture place 3. Dinner (2) is made by yourself with the ingredients supplied by Eco4x4africa 4. Course material 5. Lectures are presented in Bronkhorstspruit and practical on different venues. 6. Eco route driving on the farm at Bronkhorstspruit
Registration Registration is essential
and must be done 4 weeks before the course starts, by sending Alex an email and request the registration form. Payments are due in 2 parts R500 with the registration
(not refundable) and R1500 one week before the course.

This is highly recommended but not compulsory. You
can only do proper planning and put together
a honest itinerary once you have visited the destinations. Only then you can answer your guests!
Practical
Training – Going on Tour with Alex and Alta – This is highly recommended but not compulsory.
You cannot talk with confidence if you did not visit
the destinations beforehand.
Practical Exhibiting at Beeld Show / Getaway 2012. This is compulsory and in Feb/Aug
2012 and you have to work at the show
for 3 days to understand how to handle guests before you take them on tour.
